Connecticut Appraisals Backed by New York Metro Experience
Fairfield County’s Gold Coast towns and inland communities each have their own distinct market, and getting the comparables right matters. Hudson View Appraisal Services is licensed to appraise property in Connecticut as well as New York, providing certified valuations across Fairfield County for divorce, estate and probate, tax grievance, and pre-listing needs.

Not an Extension of Westchester
Fairfield County runs from the Gold Coast towns of Greenwich, Darien, and New Canaan, where waterfront and estate-size comparables are the norm, to denser cities like Stamford, Norwalk, and Bridgeport, and inland communities like Ridgefield and Danbury. Connecticut’s market conventions and disclosure norms differ from New York’s, so we lean on our Connecticut licensing and local comps rather than treating it as a Westchester spillover market.
A Different Court System Entirely
Connecticut organizes probate differently than New York. Instead of one court per county, estate and probate matters are handled by regional probate districts; the Stamford, Norwalk, Fairfield, Bridgeport, and Danbury districts all serve parts of Fairfield County, and divorce cases go through Connecticut Superior Court in the applicable judicial district. Property tax appeals work differently too: each town runs its own Board of Assessment Appeals on its own revaluation cycle, rather than New York’s annual town-by-town grievance day.
