Generally speaking, an appraiser provides an opinion of market value for a property and a home inspector evaluates its condition.  The inspector puts an emphasis on identifying issues associated with the systems of the home including the heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems as well all interior and exterior components between the roof and the basement.
